How this site works

  1. When you become a paid member of the BookExchangeOnline.com you will be able to add your textbooks. (Trading of your textbooks will be locked until the trading countdown ends). Simply click Add Book and input the required book information onto the form, then click Add Book.
  2. For every book you add your account will be credited one Exchange, which can be used to trade for a textbook you need for you next semester or quarter. You can only add up to six (6) textbooks at a time.
  3. When the deadline is reached, (December 4th, 2006 for the second semester and quarter), trading will begin for all schools.
  4. When you find a book that you want click View and then click Grab It from your member of choice. You will have exhausted one exchange. (For example, if you put on 3 textbooks you will receive 3 Exchanges. If you find one of the textbooks you need you click Grab It you will have 2 Exchanges left for two more books).
  5. The shipper will receive an e-mail notification with an order to ship to the member that requests the book. The shipper must confirm the email within 48 hours to make the transaction final. Once the shipper confirms the e-mail, go to the Requested by Others tab and click Ship. The shipping information for the receiver will be available. The shipper will have 6 days to ship the book and in the hands of the person receiving the book.
  6. The receiver of the book will log back on to the website and will leave feedback on their account. This lets us know that the book has been received and this also lets us know how the shipping is going. *There will punishments for late shipments or no shipments at all. (Please see our Terms of Service for details).

*Unfortunately, at this time we cannot guarantee every textbook you need. However, think about it this way, if you get one of your books on this site you will have already paid for your membership multiple times over!!!!
